Suspended for having long hair?

Year 12 student Lucan Battison attending St John's college, has been suspended from school for 5 days at the issue of having long hair. Lucas's dad Troy battison has taken this matter to high court. The school rule for having long hair is that the hair has to be off off the colar & out of the students face. Lucas has offered to tie his hair up but the principal has refused. Lucan's dad has helped Lucas take the school to court and they have won. The school will now be facing up to 70,000- 80,000 court fees.
