Is the book disappearing?

Is digital reading technology taking over? Will this put thousands of jobs in jeopardy? Is this good or bad? As most of you know, new technology such as E-books, kindle devices etc may be taking over real books. Their are obviously pros and cons in this situation; E-books are lighter and easier to travel with, also environmentally friendly but uses power to charge and radiation. Books disconnects you from all social media, but uses millions of tree's every year to produce books. The list could go on and on. 53% of readers read E-books over real books, so basically half and half but will this change dramatically in the future?
