- Explain what a translation is
A translation is the process of changing a shape or object from one form into another.
A vector looks like this : (9)
(1)
The top number in the brackets is weather it is going left or right, if it is a positive number it goes right and if it is a negative number it goes left. The number in the brackets represents how far it moves. So if it was 9 in the top brackets it would be to move 9 to the right. The same with the number in the bottom brackets but if it is a positive number it goes up and negative goes down.
- Give a real life example of when translation is used.
